I look back on this as the moment that really fuelled my passion for ocean conservation. I was out in Nova Scotia on a placement with the CCC. I woke up early one day and went out on a hike, to get acquainted with the Atlantic. Hoards of eiders were braving the surf to get mussels, one of their favourite foods. I spent several hours here, watching as they would take turns coming in close to the cliffs to get something to eat.
