I just finished watching the beautiful, youth-made documentary In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rc-qzaF80Q), and it made me think about some of the times I've felt the most connected to nature and about how to stay connected with the land and water around me while staying inside. This image was taken on the Students on Ice 2016 expedition I was incredibly fortunate to participate in (also how I met the filmmakers for the documentary above) and shows a moment that I'm holding close in these troubling times.
