People, COVID-19 and Beyond: Impacts, Adaptation & Innovation among Small-Scale Fisheries
The webinar provided an overview of how small-scale fisheries around the world are being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also explored the social, environmental, political, and technological innovations and adaptations that small-scale fishers and fish workers in low- and high-income countries are using to cope and recover from the ongoing crisis. Finally, the invited speakers discussed opportunities and risks for small-scale fisheries in a post-COVID world. #COVID19 This webinar was live streamed on June 1st as part of the series 'Small is Bountiful' in celebration of World Oceans Day 2020. The webinar series was organized by the project I am part of, the Ocean Frontier Institute, and its partner Too Big To Ignore Global Partnership for Small-Scale Fisheries Research.
