This was my first time up north doing research in Cambridge Bay Nunavut. Someone forgot the drill attachment for the sea ice core barrel.... ended up doing everything by hand! This kept me warm for sure when we started at the end of April with temperatures around -30°C.

For this study it was based on currents under the sea ice to see if higher mixing areas were more productive than slower sections.
