Join us at 11:00am on Nov. 13th for our national call on the civic engagements, process, and amendments for Bill C-69. Bill C-69 is an act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act,  to amend the Navigation Protection Act, and to make consequential amendments to other Acts. For those looking to listen in French, please call the conference line at (866) 512-0904 and then type in the meeting number 8980978. When it asks whether you are the host of the meeting, do not type anything, just wait.   You will still need to login to the Webex call to see the presentation, but you will hear all the audio in french via the live translation on the conference line.  You will want to mute the audio and microphone from Webex (and your computer) so you don't create any feedback. If you would like to ask questions, we encourage you to ask via the chat box or you can ask on your phone connection via the interpreter and she will convey the questions on your behalf.

Christine Loth-Bown is the Vice President of External Relations and Strategic Policy at the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.  She was appointed to this role in August 2018.  Prior to this, she was the Vice President, Policy Development from April 2016 to August 2018.  Reporting to the President, Christine is responsible for legislative, regulatory and policy elements of environmental assessment.  In addition, she is responsible for external relations and engagement.

Before joining the Agency, Christine was the Director General of Ecosystems Management at Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Christine has over 24 years experience in policy development and program implementation.   She has held senior roles at the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).  Christine has led the development and implementation of legislation and regulations.  She has also played a leadership role in the development of a number strategic policy initiatives, and corporate planning frameworks.

Christine holds a Master of Arts in Canadian Studies from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Canadian Studies and Political Science from Glendon College, York University,Toronto, Ontario.

She is a recreational boater and lives in Ottawa with her husband and son.
